Bring It!

Adam Schein, I am calling you out! Last Sunday, on my way to the Panthers game with my daughter, you boldly announced on your Sunday morning show on Sirius NFL Radio that the Saints were going to march in the Charlotte and knock off the Panthers. After the way Carolina performed the week before in Tampa, I couldn’t blame you. Of course, Haley could; you received a fair amount of boos from her as you expounded on all of the reasons why you thought the Ain’ts had a shot. Obviously, you were mistaken.

I have no beef there. I was frankly a little concerned about the game myself. But after that performance, how could you doubt them again? Especially at home? Come on, big daddy! What’re you thinkin’? Arizona?

ARIZONA? Are you kidding me? I know they look good, and nobody beats the Wiz, and he is your guy and all - I get it. But Arizona?

I am a long-time listener to the Sirius NFL Blitz. Love the show. Was upset when Solly was otherwise obligated this season, until I got to spend some time listening to Riggo. He’s great. Not taking anything away from Solly - as a former Steeler, he’s my guy. But the Blitz today is definitely one of my top two favorite shows on the radio. The other being Movin’ the Chains. And the order probably flips on a daily basis. You guys are like 1A and 1B in my book.

So why are teasing your pick for the weekend and calling for a potential upset special at Bank of America Stadium? You’re not even listening you your own power-rankings! You had Carolina at 7, and Arizona at 10. And yet you pick the birds to go on the road and do what no other team has done this year - win in the Panthers’ lair.

Not gonna happen.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt since your picks for the weekend are not official yet. Perhaps some hairspray got in your nose, rendering you goofy for a little while. Maybe the golden pipes were sore and you had to take some cough syrup to make it through the show today. I don’t know. But, if you are still on the Cardinals band wagon come Friday, I will have no choice but to assume that you are behind in some pool and are trying to make up ground by steering your competitors astray. Hey, it could happen!

Update: Friday’s show came and went, and sure enough, Adam stuck with his pick of the Arizona Cardinals, dubbing it his upset special. He predicted the final score would be 24-23. I think Riggo summed it up correctly when he said to Adam, “You know that blood that the Cardinals are smelling? It’s their own.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Now go bust those boys in the mouth, Carolina!
