Disney, 2007
On the tail end of our 2007 RV Excursion, which lasted many months, cost millions of dollars and destroyed countless brain cells, we visited Disney World in Orlando. We stayed for two weeks in the Fort Wilderness Campground, and bought ourselves a 10-day pass good for visits to four of the Disney parks: Magic Kingdom; Epcot; Animal Kindom; and, Disney-MGM Studios.
We had more fun than humans should be allowed to have. We did the 10-day pass because the cost difference between a 10-day and 3-day pass is about $100. Seriously. I couldn’t make that up if I tried.
The Fort Wilderness Campground is probably the nicest campground you can possibly visit. The setting is beautiforous, the cleanliness pristine, and the activities abundant. Every night they have outdoor movies on the big screen (all Disney, all the time), and they have a sing-a-long party with Chip and Dale to boot. Plus a huge, 24-hour pool, bike-paths galore, and ferry service directly to the Magic Kingdom. I literally did not have to drive once we backed in to our spot. I am wondering now why I even went through the trouble of unhitching the rig!
We loved all of the parks, but Epcot was Carrie and my favorite. And no, it has nothing to do with the fact that the food and wine festival was going on at the time. Ok, maybe it was specifically because of all of the great food and adult beverages that it was our fav. No matter; all four parks are fantastic!
Here are some of the pics. Enjoy!
